Sometimes there was only the client text as a starting point, and you had to come up with graphics, colour scheme, typography and layout.
Other clients provided a set design manual, a website and perhaps a logo, and then my job was to make the AD aligning with the design and “look and feel” from the co-existing material.
It was a very interesting and inspiring job, and what I learnt from that was:
- Working with many different businesses.
- Gaining a quick analytic approach.
- Locate suitable elements/graphics, typography, colour scheme.
- Layouting with focus on CTA (call to action).
